A Blast From The Past With Failure Written All Over It
For the past 13 years or so, I’ve been committed to helping schools become more engaged with cloud-based platforms like Google Workspace for Education. My goal was to improve their understanding of computing and enhance digital skills.
Over the years, I’ve reached out to over 500 primary schools across Greater Manchester, sending countless emails and personally visiting around 40 of them to introduce myself, along with my CV and portfolio. I wish I could say it was a great success and that schools are now using 21st-century learning platforms regularly, but unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. In truth, it was a complete failure.
During this time, I created promotional and advertising materials to try to advance the initiative. I recently stumbled upon some of these long-forgotten ads and thought it might be interesting to share them in a blog post, so others can see them too. If nothing else, they reflect the immense amount of work I put in, despite the lack of tangible rewards.
